friend

there was my friend who lived off-campus because she had three daughters. The youngest was still a baby at the time. She invited me over to watch a basketball game because of a young man by the name of Michael Jordan. I wasn’t really a basketball fan, but it gave me a chance to get out of the dorm. I knocked on her door and she told me to come in. I entered and saw that she was sitting on the couch and breast feeding her youngest. I sat next to her and watched the game.

After a bit I turned to say something to her and saw that her baby was evidently curious about the source of the unfamiliar voice and leaned back to look at me upside down. It was adorable, but it left her mommy’s breast uncovered. I quickly looked back at the TV. A few seconds later I checked back, and the baby was still looking at me. This went on for perhaps a minute or two until she either went back to nursing or was put to bed, I forget.
